An important aspect of personal health is a consistent source of nutritious food. In today's world, the best way to obtain nutritious, nutrient-dense food is to grow it yourself. For those that have the space and capacity to grow their own gardens, we have created a small-garden program.

Bio Minerals Technologies has a number of products that have been adapted from the large farm fields to small garden use. All our products are focused on plant nutrition and beneficial biological balances. Building plant nutrition and improving the soil biology will result in more nutritious food, better harvest, and fewer problems.

Basic Outline

The basic outline of our garden program is given below, with detailed explanations of each step in the following sections.

1. Broadcast 15# / 1000 sq ft of Activated BioMineral and till into the soil.
2. Create furrows/holes for planting and lightly sprinkle 5# of Activated BioMineral into the bottom of the furrows or plant holes.
3. Mix Bio Release, FLC, and FLC Plus with water and spray along bottom of furrows or plant holes.
4. Apply regular nutrient foliar sprays every 2 weeks.
5. Apply soil boost spray monthly.

Step 1: Broadcast and till Activated BioMineral

The Activated BioMineral is a granular blend of Soft Rock Phosphate and Pretreated Organic Humates. For each 1000 sq feet of garden space, spread 15# of the Activated BioMineral and till or turn it into the soil 4-6” deep so the roots can access the minerals all season long.

As an alternative to a general broadcast, you can also spread the Activated BioMineral just in the furrow bands where you are going to plant. Just spread the  mineral about tiller width and turn it into the soil, then create your furrows and plant as normal. This concentrates the nutrients and the biology where the plants will make the most use of it.

Step 2: Create furrows/holes

Once you have tilled in the Activated BioMineral, create your furrows/holes for planting your seeds and seedlings. For each 1000 sq ft, lightly sprinkle another 5# of the Activated BioMineral along the bottom of the furrow or plant hole. Make sure the application is light as there is a lot of energy in the mineral complex of the Activated BioMineral, so too much can damage germination and early growth.

Step 3: Apply liquid soil activator

Mix the following into one gallon of water:

• 1 Tablespoon FLC Plus
• 2 Tablespoons Bio Release
• 2 Tablespoons FLC

Spray the mixture along the bottom of each furrow or planting hole. You do not need to saturate the soil, just a good wetting will work fine.

This helps solubilize the soil minerals for the seedlings and plants while putting beneficial microbes down in the root zone which provide additional minerals and nutrients for the plants all season long.

Step 4: Apply Plant Foliar Sprays every 2 weeks

Once your plants are growing, you will apply a foliar spray every two weeks to continue feeding and supporting the growth and functions of the plants. Use the mixtures shown below for your foliars.

First six weeks:

Use this mixture while the plants are young and tender.

• 1 gallon of water
• 2 Tablespoons Garden Foliar Super Blend

After six weeks:

Once the plants are established and growing strong, you can increase the concentration of the foliar spray.

• 1 gallon of water
• 4 Tablespoons Garden Foliar Super Blend

The foliar nutrition provides essential trace elements and nutritional support for the plants as they grow. Constant feeding is important to the ongoing health and strength of the plants.

Step 5: Apply Soil Boost monthly

Just as you apply  regular plant feedings through the foliar sprays, you should also boost the microbial and nutritional capacity of the soil on a regular basis. Once each month, mix the following spray and apply to the soil around the base of the plants and water lightly into the soil.

• 1 gallon of water
• 2 Tablespoons Bio Release
• 2 Tablespoons FLC

By applying this spray to the soil at the base of the plants, it helps to increase nutrient solubility in the soil and continue to strengthen and promote beneficial microbial growth throughout the root zones.
Following these steps will greatly increase the health and productivity of your garden plants, increasing nutrient density as well as plant strength.
